Terms and Conditions

  1. This Promotion is open to legal residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 or over. So, that we are completely fair, this promotion excludes employees of the Promoter, Micro Scooters, The Brownlee Foundation,their families, agents or anyone else professionally connected with this Promotion.
  2. Promotion Period: You can enter between 11.00 BST on 27th July 2017 and 11.00 GMT on 31st October 2017.
  3. You don’t have to purchase anything to take part in this promotion but you will need access to the internet.
  4. To Enter: Visit thecollectivekids.com/scoot and either;
    1. Vote for your child’s Primary school if it is not listed in the drop-down menu, you will need to provide:
      1. The full name and address of your child’s school,
      2. Your full name, age, contact number and contact email address,
      3. Whether you are a parent, teacher or other (e.g. Guardian),
      4. How many students would be able to participate,
      5. Whether there are facilities at the chosen school to Scoot and Run,
      6. Whether you have permission from your school to accept the prize if they were to win. This will then be your nomination and vote for this Primary school. You can only nominate one (1) Primary school during the Promotion Period OR
    2. Select your child’s Primary school from the drop-down menu, if it is already listed. Enter your full name and email address to vote for your chosen Primary school.
  5. The Main Prize: 1 x Scoot-athlon event for up to 300 students at the winning Primary school in Summer 2018 (date to be agreed between the wining school and the Promoter), consisting of:
    1. 1 day loan of Micro Scooters and helmets for up to 300 students,
    2. 1 day loan of all necessary race equipment,
    3. The Collective t-shirts for each student to keep
    4. 1 x The Collective Suckies yoghurt per pupil,
    5. A meeting with The Brownlee Brothers, which will include a ‘meet and greet’ for kids to meet The Brownlee Brothers, ask them any questions and get a signature from them.
      1. On the day of the Scoot-athlon at the winning Primary school,
      2. On an agreed date suitable for winning Primary school, The Brownlee Brothers and The Collective at the winning Primary school or at a location suitable for the winning Primary school, The Collective and The Brownlee brothers, OR
      3. A facilitated meeting with 30 students to visit The Brownlee brothers at The Brownlee Brothers Foundation centre in Leeds on an agreed date. The winning Primary school will be responsible for getting the children to Leeds but The Collective will contribute £500 towards the cost of travel.
        The winning Primary school will decide which students will attend the Scoot-athlon and who will meet the Brownlee brothers if they need to meet at The Brownlee Centre in Leeds if this option is taken.
  6. Runner Up Prizes:
    1. 1 of 30 x Micro Scooters for your child’s class.
    2. 1 x Suckies Product Drop (consisting of up to 500 x 100g assorted The Collective Suckies).
  7. You can only vote once during the Promotion Period.
  8. All entries into the Competition are conditional on the agreement of the nominated Primary school to participate in the Promotion. The winning school will be contacted before being awarded the prize to confirm that they accept the prize. The Collective will also visit the winning Primary school to complete a risk assessment to ensure that they do have the correct facilities to win the prize. If the winning Primary school does not give their permission or do not comply to or pass the risk assessment visit, The Collective will choose a reserve winner based on the next highest number of votes.
  9. All valid nominations (where the Primary school agrees to participate) received by us during the Promotion Period will be entered into the Competition. The Primary school with the most votes will be the winner and The Promoter will contact the first registered voter for the main prize. If there is more than one Primary school ranked as having the most votes, The Promoter will conduct a prize draw to select the winner at random. Our decision on the winning Primary school is final.
  10. The Promoter will announce the winners within 40 days of the promotion closing date, after the risk assessment for the selected winning Primary school has been completed and passed.
  11. We reserve the right in our absolute discretion to disqualify nominations which we consider do not comply with these terms and conditions, or any participant who we reasonably believe has interfered with the fair running of this Promotion.
  12. We’re sorry but you can’t transfer a prize to a different Primary school or exchange it for something else or a cash alternative.
  13. If, for reasons we can’t control, the prize is no longer available, we’ll offer you an alternative prize which we hope you’ll still love but which will definitely be of equal or greater value.
  14. We believe in fair play. Bulk entries made from trade, consumer groups, syndicates or third parties will not be accepted and we will not accept cheating in any form including the use of macros or other automated means of entry, masking your identity by manipulating IP addresses, using identities other than your own and any other behaviour that falls outside the spirit of the Promotion. If you’re found to be cheating, you will be excluded.
  15. No responsibility is accepted for votes lost, damaged or delayed or as a result of any network, computer hardware or software failure of any kind. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt.

  17. Unfortunately, if you suffer any loss or damage that arises out of or in connection with the Promotion or prize itself (whether in contract, tort (including (without limitation) negligence), statutory duty or otherwise) The Collective won’t be liable for this.
  18. If this Promotion can’t run properly because of fraud, tampering, technical errors or anything else that is beyond our control which affects the running, administration, security or fairness of this promotion, we reserve the right to disqualify any person involved. We will also have the right to cancel, modify or suspend the Promotion.
  19. If an act, omission, event or circumstance occurs which is beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter and which prevents the Promoter from complying with these terms and conditions the Promoter will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing its obligation. This includes The Brownlee Brothers meeting with the school due to any unforeseen circumstances for example, an injury.
  20. In the event of any dispute our decision is final.
  21. The winning Primary school will be required to participate in any reasonable publicity arising from the Promotion.
  22. If you are the winning Primary school of the Promotion, you agree that the Promoter may use your name and town or county of residence to announce the winner of this competition and for any other reasonable and related promotional purposes.
  23. The name and region of the winning Primary school will be available by sending an email to: hello@thecollectivedairy.,com or visiting thecollectivekids.com/scoot 2 months after the promotion has closed.
  24. By nominating a Primary school and/or voting in this Promotion, all participants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by these terms and conditions.
  25. This Promotion is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and participants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
